Fall Off The Bone Barbecue Beef Short Ribs!

Most recipes on beef short ribs often call for a slow cooking method, and it takes about 4 - 5 hours. Let me save you some time with this easy recipe yet tender and flavourful barbecue short ribs. Though you won't get any grilled flavor, you'll certainly love the tender meat you won't need a knife!

For this recipe, I use the amazing pressure cooker and took me less than an hour to cook the short ribs, don't worry it won't burn the sauce if you do it right. So chill and continue reading! ;)

Good to know:

To prevent cross-contamination, don't use the same cutting board and utensils you used for the raw meat or wash them right away before using to cut veggies. The same goes if you cooked meat, never use the same utensils.

Barbecue Beef Short Ribs Recipe

Ingredients:

3 lbs beef short ribs
3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
1/8 cup of water

For the barbecue sauce:

1/4 cup beef broth ( I use half of Knorr cube to make the broth )
1/2 cup barbecue sauce
1 tablespoon of butter
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

  1. Boil the meat with apple cider vinegar, beef broth, and water for 40 minutes in the pressure. Once done, remove the beef then dump the liquid saving a little bit (about 1/4cup) for the sauce.
  2. Add all the rest of the ingredients with the beef short ribs and stir. Set on the timer for 8 minutes. Make sure to let the meat rest for at least three minutes before serving.

Serve and enjoy! I made cast iron pan fried potatoes to pair with the short ribs, it's filling and also better than white rice if you want some carbs to go with your viand.
